My Approach
My Approach to Healing and Growth
From an early age, we are conditioned to fit in with society, which often leads us to suppress our authentic selves. To protect ourselves from judgment or pain, we develop patterns of behavior and physical postures that keep us safe. However, this adaptation creates a separation from our true essence, our inner aliveness.
We restrict our emotions, needs, and energy, which are then stored in our bodies. These protective mechanisms—our false sense of identity or ego structures—serve as armor, shielding us from emotional pain and helping us navigate the world. Over time, these survival patterns can become limiting and dysfunctional, blocking our full potential.
The work I guide people through is about recognizing these defense mechanisms and freeing ourselves from them. It's an ongoing journey of evolving consciousness and finding deeper, more authentic ways to approach life, work, and relationships.
I use a variety of techniques, some more direct and confrontational, others more gentle and supportive. The goal is to raise awareness of the unconscious patterns that shape our lives, so we can find lasting solutions and create more fulfilling experiences in all areas of life.
The Body Holds the Memories
When we suppress emotions or traumatic experiences, they don't simply vanish—they are stored in the body. These unresolved emotions often manifest as physical tension, discomfort, or pain. As we stop breathing fully or consciously, we disconnect from the emotions tied to those physical sensations.
Reconnecting Mind, Body, and Soul
The separation of mind and body leads to internal conflict. This split, at its core, is an abandonment of ourselves. Healing this rift involves reconnecting with our body, mind, and soul, as well as accessing the deepest essence of who we are.
"The body remembers, the bones remember, the joints remember, even the little finger remembers." - Clarissa Pikola Estes
Healing Trauma with Compassion
Rather than re-living trauma, this approach focuses on renegotiating it—helping you reconnect with your natural capacity to heal and discharge the stored survival energy in your body. It's about working with your body’s innate ability to resolve trauma, so you don’t have to carry its burden any longer.
Awakening Our Inner Essence
When we suppress our spontaneity, we also block our connection to the life force that is always trying to express itself. This core essence, often buried beneath layers of ego, is the key to transformation. Reconnecting with it feels like coming home, a return to our most authentic self - our Deepest Self and Wild Inner Knowing.
Cultivating Presence for Transformation
The journey of self-discovery and healing is not intellectual but experiential. It's about shifting our awareness on a deeper level—through our body, emotions, energy, thoughts, and spirit. The process emphasizes developing a deep sense of presence, which is essential for moving beyond egoic patterns and stepping into our true nature. Presence helps to resolve unwanted behaviors and release trauma.
Respecting Boundaries and Encouraging Healing
Healing doesn't mean pushing through resistance. We work with your boundaries and meet any resistance with curiosity and compassion. Often, survival mechanisms, though outdated, still hold value. By creating space for your thoughts and feelings to emerge without judgment, healing naturally unfolds, and your capacity to navigate life expands.
The Body as a Gateway to Transformation
To create lasting change, we must release the old patterns held in the body. The way we hold ourselves physically reflects our personality and life experiences. These body postures and protective structures can block our energy and prevent us from fully expressing ourselves. Addressing these blocks allows us to reconnect with our life energy and re-sensitize ourselves to the present moment.
Re-Sensitizing the Self
This process allows us to "re-sensitize" ourselves by bringing awareness to the meanings behind bodily tension. Through practices like breathwork and grounding, we explore how our body—how we breathe, stand, and relate to others—shapes our experience. The ultimate aim is to move beyond the body and ego into the transpersonal realms of being, where deeper healing and integration can occur.
Resolving the Biological Effects of Trauma
Trauma doesn't just reside in the mind; it lives in the body. The traumatic experiences we've had leave behind biological traces that keep us stuck in survival mode. This approach helps release those frozen energy responses, allowing the trauma to complete its natural process and heal. By allowing the body to "thaw" the frozen response, we can liberate the energy trapped in the body and free ourselves from its grip.
Self-Regulation as a Key to Healing Trauma
Trauma often leaves us in a state of fear and freeze, with unresolved energy stuck in the body. This approach is designed to help you access your own self-regulatory abilities to release that trapped energy. Through this somatic process, we help heal trauma by completing the body's natural responses rather than re-living the traumatic events. It's an approach grounded in both psychological depth and current neuroscience findings.
Specializing in Trauma Resolution
Trauma is not just a psychological experience—it is deeply embedded in our bodies. This approach specializes in releasing trauma at the level of the body and soul. By integrating body-oriented methods with psychological awareness, we facilitate deep healing and transformation.
